Since they've decided to make the movie version of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged there's bound to be controversy of all sorts, all over the place. Therefore, I decided to post this, primarily to help bring Miss Rand's oeuvre to it's just apotheosis - showing its correct moral projection and as well, to resolve - once and for all - your own inner conflict.
For several years now, since the conception of the working model of the John Galt motor, it has opened the occasion for community development around it and its inventor - a.k.a. Galt's Gulch. This corrects a wayward projection of Miss Rand's ideas and opens the door (Ray-Screen) so that adherents and 'Strikers' can properly withdraw their sanction from the looter's state - ie. - there is now a place to withdraw to while the remnants of the mystic-altruist-collectivist culture collapses, as it must without slave-producers to feed them. But their screams and acts of protest aren't going to be pretty. There is now that safe-refuge that Ayn Rand envisions in Atlas Shrugged - established, growing, working, until ...
"...the creed of self-immolation has run, for once, its undisguised course - "

Tightening their stranglehold is always their only solution. Intellectuals, individuals a.k.a. Egoïsts will be the first victims and collateral damage is not the title that you want to have as your contribution in our fight for the future.
I'm posting to inform you that there is now a refuge that takes you out of the line-of-fire while 'that looter's code' finally suffers the full (and fatal) consequences of its own irrational action.
Advocating for reason and capitalism within the culture of mixed-premises has always been impractical - actually in Miss Rand's own experience - 'futile' - @HUAC. A development of such technological import means that one can now live outside that intellectual mine-field; working and earning your living with others that know and respect what an Ego is. ie) Living.
Aesthetically, this is how Romantic Realism (the art) becomes Romantic Realization (the technology) see Ayn Rand's:The Romantic Manifesto.
And opens the way for you to sweep aside all the contradictory (and ultimately evil) conflict that's clouded Miss Rand's Philosophy For Living On Earth for so long. Consider this your 'Ray-Screen' interface - patching you directly toward the refuge that She includes in the story (have you noticed that its a subject that even Objectivist experts seem to avoid, ignore, deny - or oddly, condemn) - very sad on their part but that's why this interface can help. In the novel Miss Rand warns of this scenario through the conflicting interpretations that John and Dagny have before the oath above the door of the Atlantis powerhouse. Dagny says:
"This has always been my own rule of living."
For example, faculty and main-stream advocates' methodology promotes direct activism within the m-a-c (mystic-altruist-collectivist) culture, 'courageously' challenging the onslaught of ill-conceived and malicious attacks. The analogy you'll hear is an extension of Dr. Peikoff's 'Emperor's New Clothes' position or more recently, Dr. Brook's 'Life-Raft-Paddling-in-rough-water' martyr-metaphor which in the end, takes everyone 'over the falls in the looter/moocher raft' despite the noble presention of rational arguments and well-formulated warnings. This link ascertains that you are right - and that you have to face persecution for being so is wrong. This posting assurres you that you don't have to be a casualty, nor suffer the stress as all those others accelerate toward the abyss - a horrible waste and tax of your spiritual accounts - those lines slashed on faculty faces - those are battle scars! - and what for? as any sensible response to irrational, collectivist baiting only serves to unleash more of their dogs of war (or have you not been awake during the debates) where a good end result is always at best - an 'almost'.
In the novel, even post-Atlantis Dagny continues to encounter these roadblocks but naïvely persists:
"There's still a chance, but let me be the only victim."
Those who see the lesson here deserve a proper answer. With the invention of the motor, the ideal response (also found in the novel) now exists and you no longer have to suffer the slings and arrows as the victim. Dealing and responding to daily issues within the mixed-premise culture may initially strengthen your resolve (after all, you're an advocate of Reason -where's the evil in that?- well, it presupposes that you're addressing human beings and m-a-c culture is not. Confronting the mob only serves to raise your blood pressure and lower your expectations; your time and intellectual energy, spinning down into the vortex of 'the world as it is' ie)Naturalism. Definitely not the Romantic outlook that 'might be and oughta be'.
You can best see the situation before you through John Galt's farewell appeal to Dagny:
"...If you fail, as men have failed in their quest for a vision that should have been possible, yet has remained forever beyond their reach - if, like them, you come to think that one's highest values are not to be attained and one's greatest vision is not to be made real- don't damn this earth, as they did, don't damn existence' ... 'the Atlantis they were seeking, it is here, it exists - but one must enter it naked and alone, with no rags from the falsehoods of centuries, with the purest clarity of mind - not an innocent heart, but that which is much rarer: an intransigent mind - as one's only possession and key. You will not enter it until you learn that you do not need to convince or to conquer the world. When you learn it, you will see that through all the years of your struggle, nothing had barred you from Atlantis and there were no chains to hold you, except the chains you were willing to wear' ... 'Go out and continue your struggle. Go on carrying unchosen burdens, taking undeserved punishment and believing that justice can be served by the offer of your own spirit to the most unjust of tortures. But in your worst and darkest moments, remember that *there exists* another kind of world. Remember that you can reach it whenever you choose to see. Remember that it is waiting and that it's real, it's possible - it's yours."
*my edit for precision*
But if ARC(closed Objectivists) is Dagny Taggart, TAS(open Objectivists) is Eddie Willers. An amoral political program; which lumps everyone together; libertarian- (minuscule&majuscuLe), anarchist, 'hippies of the right', - or what have you, inevitably leads to an Eddie Willers end.
Eddie's downfall is his unconditional adherence to his bromide of: 'Whatever is right'. Many Atlas-acolytes question why the Eddie Willers character is left behind. Man and his universe, despite their resilience to date will not right themselves. Belief that 'all will be well, eventually', 'don't worry, be happy' - 'we'll always somehow muddle through' (here's another populuar one) - 'god-willing' - (or worst of all) - 'it's doomed anyway, the only way is to get as much as we can before the end' - and more recently - 'Whatever Works'.
Like weevils these daily bromides have embedded themselves into the popular culture, always assurred that there will always be someone/thing that will make or fix it and does not happen automatically, naturally and certainly not by slavery. A parasite will never learn to live if there's always another bleeding host to feed on. Producers (and parents) know the drill - Galt's Gulch producers practice it effectively. But the looters aren't going to be happy when their hosts are withdrawing their 'help' and the hunt for blame-victims will intensify. They'll be pulling-out-all-the-stops soon and don't underestimate the intelligence of their leaders or the strength of their numbers. The whole concept of Atlantis rests on allowing these creatures to discover, now and forever - not this time no matter how open, popular, nice or diplomatic their social aspect becomes.
Notice that both the 'open'(TAS) and 'closed'(ARI) factions now find themselves caught in what amounts to a Hank/Dagny martyr syndrome:
Advocating for truth and reason in an irrational, illegitimate culture based completely on false premises ...sounds to me like a ticket on that coal-burner going into the Winston Tunnel. To sacrifice your Self like that would be a noble endeavor if you had no alternative or if the m-a-c majority had any desire to become human beings or that the motor's secret could never be solved. Both faculties, although providing a wealth of information and valuable discussion condemns you to a life-sentence of inner conflict, caged with brutes of mixed-premises, never resolving a 100% consistent answer.
The invention of the motor and the consequent establishment of the first human society around it, now provides an escape pod for all those who can see their virtue and it's value.
So, how to get the word out to potential strikers before they subject themselves to the errors of our forebears? John Galt, Francisco and Ragnar spent a lot of valuable time flying all over the world chasing down possible sparks of intelligence. Communication today, although less one-on-one, has it's merits in efficacity and accessibility. Besides we're all building homes and lives in "Our True Homeland". To spend valuable time 'convincing and conquering' someone of something so self-evident as the primacy of human reason well, that's all pre-Ayn Rand. Her oeuvre is complete in itself - all the rest really becomes superfluous (the Dr.Hugh Akston character in the novel realizes this). Many on the outside must "learn that you do not need to convince or to conquer the world" - a message inherent in Miss Rand's Objectivism, clearly written in a self-propagating oeuvre. It's all out-there, adding more layers can only serve as over-burden. When asked if Objectivist afficionados should be personally and actively notified, the best answer is another quote about another subject but it applies nonetheless. Galt replies to Francisco as to his desire to breach protocol and notify a tormented Rearden:
Your energy is better spent where your effort is competely consistent and appreciated.
So you see, everyone begins 'tabula rasa'.*ThankYou,MissIves*
Ayn Rand once said (no doubt from Her 'Fountainhead' of hands-on experience) that movie versions in essence, can only serve as extended advertisements for the novel. So now many more young minds are going to awaken to what exactly the mystic/altruist/collectivist faction has done (and continues to do) to the world. They shouldn't be condemned to fall victim to the same errors of our forebears. Explaining the one Complete, Consistent and Compatible answer to a mixed-premise mob cannot be done (observe the mixed-message that became self-defeating when faculty tried to align itself with the Tea Party). Confronting the broad issues of the day is bait set by media to lure you into the trap of what Miss Rand describes as: 'concrete-bound, journalistic, Naturalism.' (the character of Francisco d'Anconia constantly warns the public of the consequences of their policies but his wise words are constantly drowned in that tsunami of denunciation). Being able to project issues toward that which 'might be and oughta be' directly into your reality is the norm here in Atlantis - and its your key to Happiness.
In 'Atlas Shrugged' Miss Rand projects the best possible solution through the Galt's Gulch Refuge of rational, productive individuals - who were proud of being so. If you find it difficult, stressful and even dangerous to advocate good premises within a popular culture that, not only accepts wholeheartedly, but freely promotes theft(tax) and loots to preserve a second-hand society - you're not alone, and it is a grave injustice for you to be denounced for your virtues and persecuted as 'Radicals For Capitalism'.
Such being the case I'll take this occasion to inform those interested, that the Self-Sufficient Motor that personifies a Self-Sufficient Ego of which Miss Rand foretold in Atlas Shrugged is now a reality. Everything else follows from that. We meet every year in June - yes, just like in the novel. Contact us by email GaltsGulchPortal@gmail.com if you've any pertinent questions or you have seen the light and are ready to 'withdraw your moral sanction'. (there is a period of difficult transition - ref. the Anteroom in the novel - that everyone goes through, and it's true - I'll help all I can)
The refuge for the men of the mind, practicing a Philosophy for Living on Earth, along side it's appropriate symbol. All done and "Well Done."

P.S. You may also wish to start your own version of Galt's Gulch; that too, is addressed further on in Galt's Speech:
"If you find a chance to vanish into some wilderness out of their reach, do so, but not to exist as a bandit or to create a gang competing with their racket; build a productive life of your own with those who accept your moral code and are willing to struggle for a human existence. You have no chance to win on the Morality of Death or by the code of faith and force; raise a standard to which the honest will repair: the standard of Life and Reason.
"Act as a rational being and aim at becoming a rallying point for all those who are starved for a voice of integrity - act on your rational values, whether alone in the midst of your enemies, or with a few of your chosen friends, or as the founder of a modest community on the frontier of mankind's rebirth.
"When the looters' state collapses, deprived of the best of its slaves, when it falls to a level of impotent chaos, like the mystic-ridden nations of the Orient, and dissolves into starving robber gangs fighting to rob one another - when the advocates of the morality of sacrifice perish with their final ideal - then and on that day we will return."
